Best Canadian Poetry of 2019

Victoria has a lot to be proud of following the publication of Best Canadian Poetry 2019. Not only is it a wonderful representation of the remarkable talent within our country, but also features several local poets, proving that Victoria B.C. has a lot to offer. Join us on January 23rd to celebrate the many local poets that made their mark in Canadian poetry in 2019 including Ali Blythe, Marilyn Bowering, Sara Cassidy, Kayla Czaga, Dallas Hunt, Sonnet L'Abbe, and Victoria Poet Laureate John Barton.
This event is free to attend. Copies of Best Canadian Poetry 2019 will be available for purchase. Treats and tea will be provided.
Love Letter Workshop facilitated by Meg Tilly and Don Calame

As part of our series of single nights, we wanted to offer something a little different this time around. With that in mind, we are happy to say that the one and only Meg Tilly and her partner Don Calame will join us on February 9th at 6:30 PM to instruct us on how to craft the perfect letter for the love of your life or the love of your life to be.
Remember that a love letter can be written to anyone, whether it is a good friend, a family member, or even to oneself. This event is all-inclusive, and everyone interested in exploring the art of love letter writing is welcome.
*Please come prepared with writing utensils and a notebook. Tea and treats will be provided.
