The Booker Prize winning author of Midnight’s Children and The Satanic Verses will read from and discuss The Golden House, his fictional exploration of politics, social status, and culture during the Obama years, with CBC’s Gregor Craigie. A new book by Salman Rushdie is always cause for celebration and excitement; this is an event you won’t want to miss.

Get ready for our first double author event of the year! Angie Abdou presents her fifth work of fiction, In Case I Go, a new kind of ghost story following a family escaping the big city for a small town that isn’t as ideal as they remember it. Kara Stanley, author of Fallen, also joins us with her sophomore novel Ghost Warning, a coming of age tale of a young woman who escapes one unravelling world for another, and the small community she builds for herself as she attempts to make sense of it all.
